Create Your Own Hanging Sun Catcher

Where: Tana, 2100 Browning Street, Austin, TX 78723

When: Saturday, June 20th, 12-3pm

Join Studio Tak Tak for a glass fusing workshop at Tana (beside Bottega) where you'll create a hanging sun catcher! During this workshop, you'll learn how to safely cut, glue, and assemble pieces of sheet glass into 3-4 different hanging components, measuring about 3" wide and 12" in length. These components will be later assembled together by the instructor so when you pick up your finished work, your sun catcher will be display ready!

What's included:

• 3 hrs of personal and professional instruction
• Use of PPE (safety glasses and gloves)
• Clear sheet glass to practice on before making your final pieces
• Shape templates for glass components
• Sheet glass in assorted colors
• Glass paint for fine, detail work
• Use of glass cutting and fusing tool kit to cut and assemble glass
  
• 6" metal hanging component with metal ring (silver in color)
• Kiln firing services post-workshop

Ticket is for one (1) participant. All materials included, no experience necessary!

Please note that your pieces will be available for pick-up at Bottega 3-4 weeks after the workshop. You will be emailed when your pieces are ready!

Requirements:

All participants MUST wear enclosed shoes for this workshop. 

Participants must be 13+. Participants between the ages of 13 and 18 must attend with a participating parent or guardian.

All participants must sign this Waiver before the workshop begins.
